Addressing the needs of youth ages 3 months to 24 years old in the greater Aiken South Carolina communities by providing internships and skills to assist in obtaining gainful employment and youth entrepreneurs under the unique umbrella and complexities of the organization projects we can create well-rounded youth.
Provide services in an after school setting for children in the board of education system that are faced with being placed in alternative schools to allow them the opportunity to stay mainstream educated. We also would like to service the youth with chronic absents and truancy records. We are requesting these youth be mandated to our after school program during the school year and full-time summer program so we can implement and source skills to the youth so that they will stay in mainstream education. We can provide our services in a 10-week stretch. We would also have our program open to the youth of Hahns Village so the youth will have a productive place to be apart of from 3pm to 6:00pm.
Provide housing services to youth in the foster care system that are in need of placement because they are high level behavior categorized and the placements are not suitable for the need of the youth so they are shipped away to homes 4 to 6 hours away from their communities and families. The true need is not only are they being shipped so far away they are closing those facilities down and these youth need homes encouragement come where were they know they are not alone and somebody cares for their wellbeing. We also would like to have after care for the youth who have aged out so they will obtain proper resources to become strong members of their communities they step in
Providing the service of 24-hour childcare for Aiken, residents who work non-traditional work hours in need of childcare for their children and don’t have the family member that can watch their child or children while at work and prepare them for school or the next day.
